On December 24th 2014, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued the Decision No. 1947 / QD-NHNN on the establishment of a Permanent Working Unit to support the Microfinance Working Committee.
According to the decision, members of the Permanent Working Unit to support the Microfinance Working Committee (Working Unit) consist of representatives of Departments of the State Bank, representatives of relevant Ministries, representatives of Credit Institutions, Microfinance Institutions and Vietnam Microfinance Working Group.
The Permanent Working Unit’s mission is:
- To advise and assist the Microfinance Committee (the Committee) to perform the tasks and powers under its authority
- To research and propose orientations and solutions to the Microfinance Committee to develop microfinance activities
- Prepare contents and materials for meetings of the Microfinance Committee
- Provide materials and compile contents was accepted by Microfinance Committee in meetings to notify members of the Committee
- Assist the Committee in collecting and compiling information of microfinance system within the sector and local level
- Plan annual operating costs of the Committee and send to Inspecting and Monitoring Agency, State Bank of Vietnam for compiling
- Support the Committee in the implementation of Decision No.2195/QĐ-TTg dated on Dec 6th 2011, approved by the Prime Minister on the Proposal of Building and Developing Microfinance System in Vietnam to 2020
This Decision shall take effect on December 24th 2014.
