Financial inclusion means that people and businesses can access and use financial products and services in a convenient and appropriate way with reasonable costs provided by financial institutions in a responsible and sustainable way, which focus on the poor, low-income, disadvantaged, small and medium-sized enterprises, micro enterprises.

 

Although banking products and services are quite adequate and diversified, they are only popular in urban areas and lacking in rural areas. Many small businesses and enterprise still have difficulty of accessing formal banking services.

In this context, there should be a financial inclusion strategy that focus on resources and efforts of both public and private sector to find effective solutions to promote comprehensive finance in Vietnam.
