On March 14, 2016 Vietnam Microfinance Working Group received Document No. 1596/VPCP-KTTH Government Office regarding to the pilot extension of micro-insurance activities. Details are as follow:
Pursuant to the request of Vietnam Women’s Union according to Document No. 26/TTr-ĐCT dated 30th December, 2015 on the extension of WU’s micro-insurance activities until 2020, comment of the Ministry of Finance represented by Mr. Vu Van Ninh – Deputy Prime Minister on document No. 2318 / BTC-QLBH 2016 included the following requests:
– Agreed to extend the pilot of micro-insurance activities until the end of 2016 as the requests of Vietnam Women’s Union and the Ministry of Finance in the documents mentioned above. The Ministry of Finance is in charge of instructing Vietnam Women’s Union implementation.
– At the end of the pilot period, Vietnam Women’s Union must evaluate all pilot activities and send to the Ministry of Finance for summarization, recommendation and report to the Prime Minister.
